MATCH AND CLUB FISHING RULES

    WHEN ARRIVING AT CLEARWATER LAKES FISHERY:-

  • PARK IN AN ORDERLY MANNER IN THE DESIGNATED CAR PARK

  • ALL NETS - LANDING – KEEP – WEIGHING – AND UN-HOOKING BEDS TO BE DIPPED ON ARRIVAL

  • ENSURE THAT ALL NETS ARE HELD TO DRAIN ONER THE DIP TANK IN ORDER NOT TO WASTE THE SPECIAL DISAFECTANT (THE DISAFECTANT WILL NOT IN ANY WAY EFFECT YOUR HANDS OR SKIN)

  • KEEP NETS AND LANDING NETS MUST BE APPROVED FOR CARP

  • ANYONE FOUND NOT TO HAVE DIPPED ALL THEIR NETS AND UN-HOOKING BEDS WILL BE REQUESTED TO IMMEDIATELY LEAVE THE FISHERY AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ENTRANCE TO THE FISHERY THEREAFTER.

  • READ all the Fishery, Fishing & Bait Rules as displayed on the Site Notice Boards to ensure that you fully comply with all the Rules. If in doubt seek clarification and confirmation from your Club Secretary or appointed Match Controller

  • FISHERY Rules applying to Match Fishing and Bait Rules will be read out by the Club Secretary or appointed Match Controller “immediately prior to the match and prior to the match peg draw” to all Fishing Club Members or persons taking part in the Fishing Match

  • CARP over 6 lb should not be put into KEEP NETS. They should be weighed, recorded and immediately returned to the water with Landing Net at the same PEG that they were landed

  • The Club Secretary or appointed Match Controller should inform all Fishing Club Members or persons taking part in the Fishing Match the method and how the Carp over 6 lb will be weighed and recorded and immediately returned to the water

  • It is Fishery Rules that a set of weighing scales are provided for every 10 x fishing pegs within a fishing match

  • FISHING Match maximum 6 x hours (Fish to be weighed and returned to the water)

  • DRAW for Fishing Peg Numbers will take place in the designated car park and thereafter you can drive direct to the allocated fishing peg

  • MAJORITY of the Fishing Pegs cars can be parked directly Behind or Adjacent to the Fishing Peg

  • WHEN ARRIVING AT YOUR ALLOCATED FISHING PEG

  • PARK in an orderly manner either directly Behind or Adjacent to your Peg

  • IMMEDIATELY - Lay all your Nets – Landing - Keep - Weighing – and Un-hooking Beds - OUT TO DRY

  • 2 x KEEP NETS must be put into the water 10 minutes before fishing commences

  • 1 x KEEP NET for CARP FISH maximum 50lb per NET

  • 1 x KEEP NET for SILVER FISH maximum 50lb per NET

  • DURING THE FISHING MATCH

  • UNDER no circumstances should CARP & SILVER FISH be placed into the same KEEP NET

  • CARP over 6lb should not be put into KEEP NETS. They should be weighed, recorded and immediately returned to the water with Landing Net at the same PEG that they were landed

  • DURING the Match when it is estimated that the KEEP NETS contain 50lb of fish then additional KEEP NETS should be put into the water.

  • If you have no additional KEEP NETS then the existing KEEP NETS must be removed from the water and the fish contained within weighed, recorded and returned back into the water and then the original KEEP NETS can be re-placed back into the water to be used again.

  • During the Match if any specimen of Fish landed shows any signs of Stress, Damage or Disease then please put it into the Special Provided KEEP NET (provided by the Fishery for all Fishing Matches) and report this to the Bailiff at the end of the Fishing Match

  • All Fish no matter what size or weight must be landed with a Landing Net and then either placed in the KEEP NET or weighed and returned with Landing Net to the water.

  • END OF THE FISHING MATCH

  • WEIGHING of all Fish and recording will be completed by the Club Match Secretary or other appointed experienced/authorised anglers on behalf of A/C. All fish should be handled in a safe and environmental manner and after weighing immediately returned to the water.

  • KEEP NETS when weighed that contain individual Carp over 8 lb or Fish with a total weight or 65 lb or over within the Keep Net then the FISH will be not allowed to be counted within the Match Weights for the individual Match Angler or Club

  • WEIGHING of Fish may be supervised and checked by the bailiff.

  • All Rubbish or Waste Materials should be collected at the allocated Fishing Peg by the individual Angler and should either be deposited in the Waste Bin provided and located beside the Dip Tank or removed from the Fishery

  • FISH ARE NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TO BE REMOVED FROM THE FISHERY (SECURITY CHECKS WILL BE COMPLETED BY BALIFF)
